Who We Are
From the Founders of Sistahs’ Pursuit of Happiness:
Sistahs’ Pursuit of Happiness (SistahsPursuit.com) was created in partnership by two cousins (sistahs) from New York. We had frequent, insightful discussions about various issues – relationships, career, family, health – issues that we encountered daily in our lives and we wanted other sistahs to “hear” those discussions, and to share their experiences.
SistahsPursuit.com launched in 2007 with the goal of empowering, enlightening, supporting and uniting women of color through a positive interactive forum, where all SistahsPursuit.com members can share their voice and Sound Off on issues that we all have encountered. SistahsPursuit.com provides the platform for women of color to share and learn from each other, so that we all can make better choices in our lives and reach a level of understanding about each other and ourselves.
A Message from Pamela:
Hey, my name is Pamela and I am one of the sistahs behind SistahsPursuit.com. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting our site and for your membership.
I also want to share with you who I am. I am an independent woman who appreciates passion for creativity. I accept myself for who I am today, and strive to be better tomorrow. I've never been afraid to try but often with reservation. Someone once described me as a “conservative go-getter”. That is a definite oxymoron, but so true. Although I am always up for a challenge, I will never totally dismiss my inhibitions. My heart is safeguarded.
I love to read, write and will never be at a lost for words. Expressing myself verbally has proven to be one of my strong points and I enjoy sharing that with others. I am in constant touch with my intuition and love to be in love. I am strong, courageous and I am a sistah!!
